Exploring Iran's Ancient Mysteries with David Adams | Perspective
Iran is one of the earth’s final frontiers. It’s a country little visited by western travellers in recent years, yet it has been at the centre of world affairs for millennia. I wanted to take a peek “behind the veil” of modern-day Iran. What I discovered was a complex, incredibly hospitable people living in a much-misunderstood country at the heart of a troubled region. My journey takes me from the bustle of Tehran, via the Valley of the Assassins to ancient cities unchanged since Marco Polo first entered them eight centuries ago. But this isn’t just a journey through an ancient landscape. It’s a journey in search of one of the world’s least known religious sects ... the ancient Fire Wors...

The Roaring Twenties was a period in American history of dramatic social, economic and political change. For the first time, more Americans lived in cities than on farms. This was largely in thanks to a number of powerful families whose entrepreneurship c...

YOKO ONO HAS THE HEAVIES EQUIPPED???!??
Could you imagine what she would have been in the age of the internet? She essentially was the first great blogger -- she carved out a place for her fantastic analytic abilites in a time when the platforms were so very limited. Bravo...
This is a brilliant show. However, there are way too many advert breaks within this programme 😡😡😡
Adam and Eve transgressed not sinned. You can’t sin before you understand right and wrong. Words matter!
While edited for time, I am surprised they didn't analyze the back of the painting and the canvas itself. Usually, the back can reveal as much as the front, with auction or dealer notations. The canvas could also disclose the date and location. Why did Montemezzano used a seamed canvas for a major work? Could they get closer to the date of the painting? In the end, that's superfluous information, but I surprised they didn't explore that further.
Adore the last clip of John w Yoko...he looks so happy & clear
Love how reporter asks vague question and George dives in like a hawk
Thank you for educating me about a subject I love.
The Mona Lisa is a portrait of Mary Magdalene. Time doesn’t exist and she has returned! Jesus and Adam painted this for her our daughter.
His accent is quite simple the most irritating thing I have encountered in my 61 years.
Yeah, of course, aft old obrse blop tllng ou about being healty, f23$&45kyoimster dotor
If you visit his home, called Ainola after his wife, it is magic, just as he is out for a walk in the forest.
It's funny that you are supposedly doing a serious piece on Viking art, and then your thumbnail is the ridiculous Viking helmet with the horns that never happened. Not funny and really stupid on your part.
Ironically, it made it worth so much more.
I do not agree that being a fake in the second episode is a pity. It is a very interesting story nonetheless, and it is a nice drawing. Probably the best of Durig, right? It is just not as expensive. Everybody knows Rodin, but not necessarily Durig.
I was very fortunate to meet him in Stockton, California. He invited me to his lovely home in Carmel, California.
I have a question. Where is thattrain, and does it do regular excursions?
Funny the movement in Britain and Bristol born (according to this documentary) out from under the thumb of Margaret Thatcher would come full circle to identify with her vision.
Man! This sounds amazing!!
I feel the vibration of vomiting when I see that woman
Let me translate what Yoko just said! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWUUUUUUUUUUUUYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Chuck Berry roll eyes...
I SEE WHY THE ELITIST LEFTIST WOMEN LIKE THE ELITIST EUROPE AND THE ONE WORLD ORDER, THEY LIKE THEIR MEN EMASCULATED
GORNG A HUNTER IN THE GROIN WHAT A JOYOUS THOUGHT

I BET IF SOMEONE COOKS FOR HIM HE COMPLAINS ABOUT EVERYTHING UNLESS ITS UP TO HIS STANDARDS WHICH SEEMS LIKE HE FEELS HES QUITE GRAND
I WONDER IF HE IS GAY HES VERY PRISSY ABOUT EVERYTHING
OH MY GOD THIS MAN IS SIMPLY AN OFFENSIVE SNOB THE WAY HE SPEAKS DOWN ON SO MANY THINGS THAT WAS NOT UP TO HIS STANDARDS. I WONDER HOW HE WILL APPEAR BEFORE GOD? THE FIRST WILL BECOME LAST AND THE LAST BECOME FIRST. HIM BEHIND THE MOST LOWLY PEASANT
THIS GUY SOUNDS LIKE A POSH WHINY ENTITLES ENGLISH SNOB. IT DOES GET RATHER DULL. I IMAGINE HE WAS SPOON FED TILL HE WAS 21
GLOBAL WARMING MY ASS THE EARTH IS IN A COOLING TREND SO SAY THE SCIENTISTS TRUE SCIENTISTS NOT POLITICALLY MOTIVATED AND ALSO THAT THERE WAS A POLAR SHIFT STARTING SEVERAL YEARS AGO.
Just enjoy what you enjoy from this outdated documentary about the great JSB and skip what you do not enjoy ... Your appreciation of it will not change anything about the greatness of one of very few composers who was blessed with a nearly divine inspiration which was founded in his divine faith ...
It appears to me a self revealing image of something unpleasant that may have occurred to him when he was young. 🤷♀️
Simon Callow, I would recognize his voice from among a million others ...
So fascinating. New information about the artist and history. Perfectly narated...
She is complete GARBAGE without John who would of been able to put up or tolerate her AT ALL!!!
At the Rothcoe chapel, where you were so moved by the paintings, I laughed so loud, the coffee came up my nose.
If somebody really wanted to destroy it he would've used a better shredder. Its almost undamaged
Do watcha want Yoko but, please, don't sing!
Before my mother died she told me that Mario Lanza singing “I’ll walk with God” was a song for Mario to sing for us sent directly from heaven by God. His gift to us!
When seeing and hearing Mario Lanza sing I’m transported to a heavenly out of this world realm of beauty and romance.
With great gratitude I thank you for bringing me/ us his singing and movies. So far I can’t get all the parts of the great Caruso movie, but I’ll keep trying. Thank you.
Banksy is dumb.
What a voice, so perfect in live
There is no art taking place here at all
Really enjoy these
Great people that made America what it is today, you should proud ! Who ever did this didn't get the histiry quite right, but it's close !
Interesting way to describe the women of Martinique.
This is great
I think there's almost some genetic instinct for humans to be violent against intellectuals. I have seen kids ( boys and girls ) as young as ten that have reading and writing difficulties want to smash the smarter kids. They call them losers. Even though they are the ones who will most probably be the loser later in life. They have envious and violent reactions any time common sense is pointed out. Their learning difficulties become compounded as now they view learning as ''uncool'' and they begin to refuse to learn and sabotage any effort to help. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, they embrace being dumb and believe it to be a higher social status than smart.
impecable!!!
What I’ve come to realize from watching these shows is the art world is really a world of self preservation and the almighty dollar. I’m not surprised but I’m always suspicious/disappointed when everything points to a work of art being authentic but the experts either won’t acknowledge it or completely dismiss it.
